Our Story

SAFRICAMPS was founded with a simple mission: to provide young adults with life-changing opportunities to work, learn, and explore in America while building international networks and gaining invaluable work experience.

As young people ourselves, we understand the unique challenges our participants face – from navigating visa processes to managing exchange rates, from overcoming homesickness to adapting to American culture. This personal understanding drives everything we do.

Since our founding, we’ve helped hundreds of young men and women transform their lives through the American summer camp experience. Our participants return home with enhanced confidence, global perspectives, and lifelong friendships.

With over five years of camp experience, I’ve developed strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills — and built meaningful professional connections that continue to shape my life. Camp has given me incredible opportunities for growth, learning, and connection. It’s where I discovered my passion for creating positive, inclusive experiences, met inspiring people, and even met the love of my life — who is now also my business partner. I’m deeply grateful for how camp has influenced both my career and who I am today.
