This policy explains what information SafriCamps collects from you, how we use it, and who we share it with to facilitate your summer camp placement and J-1 Cultural Exchange Visa.

We collect information necessary to fulfill our obligations under the J-1 Summer Work and Travel program.
- Identity & Contact: Full name, date of birth, nationality, physical address, email, phone number.
- Purpose: Account setup and primary communication.
- Visa & Security: Passport details, visa history, DS-2019 data, criminal background check results.
- Purpose: Mandatory J-1 visa application, sponsor compliance, and camp safety vetting.
- Application Details: Education status, work history, skills, experience with children, video interview.
- Purpose: Matching you with a suitable US summer camp role.
- Travel: Flight itinerary.
- Purpose: Tracking and coordinating arrival logistics.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data solely for the purpose of the summer camp program:
- Placement: To create a profile that is shared with US Camp Directors to secure your job.
- Sponsorship: To provide your data to our designated US Department of State J-1 Visa Sponsor.
- Visa Processing: To complete official forms (SEVIS) and prepare for your Embassy interview.
- Support: To provide 24/7 emergency support while you are abroad.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with the following essential third parties to execute the program:
- US J-1 Visa Sponsor: To issue your Certificate of Eligibility (DS-2019) and monitor your program participation.
- US Camps: To facilitate your job placement and sign your employment contract.
- US Embassy/Consulate: To process your official J-1 visa application.
- Insurance Provider: To enroll you in the mandatory health insurance policy.
